WASCIP working prototype

Build the stack. Test the return.

Model an indicative Australian feature-film finance plan, then test hypothetical theatrical receipts through a simplified recoupment waterfall. All figures are AUD.

Assemble the finance plan

Open the detailed capital stack, switch WASCIP on or off, and replace the indicative assumptions with project-specific terms.

WASCIP Private investment

Eligible features require a minimum $10m production budget and certified private capital equal to 30-100% of budget. The proposed 40% post-audit recovery applies only to certified WASCIP private capital and is not counted twice as production finance.

Producer Offset

Calculated across the QAPE-eligible share of the total production budget. Choose the applicable rate, then adjust the estimated QAPE percentage.

$2.6m Producer Offset30% of 85% QAPE = 25.5% of total budget
Switching the gap loan on fills the entire current shortfall. Edit its percentage in the finance-source row to use a lower amount.
03 / Markets

Model worldwide theatrical gross

Move the sliders or type a value. Gross box office is not producer revenue: cinemas, distribution commissions and release expenses are deducted before finance begins to recoup.

Follow the money

The standard view reflects the usual priority of marketplace contributors and debt ahead of equity. Any private-capital priority would need to be negotiated contractually.

Target: $25m worldwide box office. This is a rough rule of thumb, not proof of investor profit.
